Interesting news on U.S Credit

U.S.: Credit is still low
The economic recovery should continue throughout this year, albeit at a slower pace. The household deleveraging in the United States and in many European countries, coupled with the possible fiscal consolidation in some nations, would eventually slow the recovery next year. In effect, consumer confidence stays subdued, and not only in the U.S., as financial incentives are ending, while hiring remains slow. Banks are still resilient in expanding credit, especially to the private sector. As a result, consumer credit fell 4.5% in May, while delinquency in the credit card business slid to the lowest level of the past seven years. Both the manufacturing and service sector appear to the moderating from higher levels, while the housing market is still near the bottom in many nations. In reality the US manufacturing industry grew for the sixth consecutive month, but new orders declined in June, although remaining in the expansionary mode. The index is now at 54.4 from 62.3 reached in March. The service sector fell instead to 53.8 from 55.4, but business activity stays strong at 58.1. Exports are falling, probably due to the strong U.S. dollar and the contraction in the world economic recovery. Nonetheless, in the U.S., the whole sale inventories rose 0.5% month on month in May, marking the fifth consecutive month of increase. The Federal Reserve is expected to keep rates low for most part of 2010, as inflation is mild and recovery still bumpy.

Forex Marketing Strategies:

Basic yet important things every trader should know:

If you hear from anyone that making money in Forex is easy, do not believe it. It is a myth. The truth is – being profitable in Forex requires a lot of work, dedication, practice, more than a good discipline, sharp knowledge of money management and understanding of the psychology of the currency market. Not so little and therefore not so easy.

Making money in Forex requires a set of rules

Making money starts with a plan to make money. Such plan is of enormous importance when it comes to trading foreign currencies. But, besides creating a plan, a trader needs constantly follow it. How often trader brake his rules will affect how much money he will make trading Forex. Sounds simple: create and follow... However, there is a real challenge when trader follows the rules but rules fail to make money... it happens inevitably for every trading system known. If system had proven to be successful, sticking to the trading plan and firmly following the rules even when losing money will eventually yield profitable outcome. Having strong trading discipline and taking losses when necessary is a sign of serious trading approach

Succeeding in Forex by using money management

To profit in Forex sticking to a set of rules is not enough. Good money management is also needed. Knowledge of how much to trade per each open position and where and when to stop – is what separates successful trader from bankrupt trader. Many beginner traders over-leverage themselves being attracted by big and promising leverages offered by Forex brokers. The truth is that a big leverage is not only about a big win, but also when it comes to be so – a big loss. Leverage higher than 1:20 will not attract serious investors.

Forex traders' mind

And last but not least is trader’s psychology. Going in profit or losing money always create psychological challenge for trader to act responsively. Not being greedy and also cutting losses short is the key to this game.Trading Forex you need to accept losses. They are inevitable and occur in any money involving operations. Therefore, instead of battling losses trader needs to accurately analyze unfavorable situations and take lessons from losing trades.

Marketing Forex:

Forex marketing has a strategy that many traders overlook. The prime strategy, which many forex traders believe is the key to profiting in the forex industry is the buying low and selling high strategy. Unfortunately, these traders are wrong, since it is a key to loosing instead.Support in forex industry is when chronological value or pricing comes in from traders who “Buy.”

The mission behind buying is to provide support for the forex market exchange, as well as to analyze, examine, experiment, investigate, etc, the markets in forex currencies and exchange. Each time the traders test forex, it authenticates support.Resistance becomes sizeable in the forex industry only when the levels of “resistance” is charted, i.e. at what time the levels of forex value, or pricing refuses to give in to jumping to a higher listing.

For this reason, at what time forex traders venture on buying low and selling high, they are making a big mistake. Traders who delay in forex trading markets will often recoil, or retract at the time some of the biggest deals transpire in the forex industry.

In short, the trends are what traders want to stay aware to, yet most traders will resist. Why, because the traders often feel uneasy at the times when other traders resisting buying and selling in forex.

Knowledge about Forex Guide:

The  aims of forex guide is  creating a coherent understanding of the foreign exchange market, by tying in real life market scenarios with the relevant theories of international finance and the classic schools of technical and quantitative analysis. Although there is a vast amount of literature on international finance, technical analysis and chartism, there is a scarcity of instructional materials incorporating actual market events such as interest rate decisions, interventions and geopolitical events.
Another area largely overlooked by currency guides is the integration of fundamental and technical analysis for making decisions. The distinctiveness between the two types of approaches dissuades many from factoring them together. But knowing how to combine them can be highly advantageous in unraveling the trend and timing of currency moves.

This material focuses on teaching how to think for yourself in understanding global currency markets, rather than depending on a pre-set trading system which recommends decisions without providing input on the whys of making right and wrong decisions. Rather than rehashing the classic theories driving currency analysis, this guide will offer investors, researchers and students an innovative approach, paramount in grasping and anticipating the moves in the major currency pairs.

Getting in right way to earn:

The market exists because of conflict. For every transaction, there must be a buyer and a seller; hence, it is necessarily adversarial, and in each individual transaction there can only be one winner; the other must lose. It is impossible for both sides to be right and the order flow goes in only two directions, up or down. Even in a sideways market, when you look closely, you'll notice that the tick or pip goes up, then down, which only means that there are equal numbers of buyers and sellers at each price point. So, the importance of knowing the order flow cannot be overstated. At some juncture, both winner and loser must close their positions. They must at some point exit to turn a debit/credit into a case settlement. Actually, a large percentage of price action is characterized by stops being hit, or in other words, the loser is liquidating. Only the loser must get out, the winner can wait. When the loser and winner leave the market, the market is vulnerable to a reversal – only winners are left. All price action is determined by an imbalance of orders over time. How and when those orders are filled creates price action.
Your order must be ahead of the next wave of order flow in the direction of the price action. One hundred percent of your market study must be designed to find where the eventual loser will be placing his orders; as you analyze this, nothing else matters. Where is the loser now and to when will he be moving?Price action is about pain or pleasure. Price action begins in the mind of every trader just as she decides to make a play. She has enough conviction in making that trade to put herself at risk. She believes (if she is trading) and hopes (if she is gambling) that she will make a profit; otherwise, she would not make the trade. The question is, "What creates that belief, and what happens when, due to the failure of her decision, she must change that belief?" If you are wrong and price moves against you, for the novice trader, there is pain. When the pain is strong enough, you will get out. Pain takes place as soon as there is a realization that the conflict between the desire to make money and the fact that the trade is in the wrong place has been made. Pain is directly proportional to the momentum of price action and the degree of real estate or space from the entry. As it moves away from your losing entry, the pain grows until you liquidate and leave the market. If the winner has done the same, there are less people in the market, but only one thing is certain: Only the winner can afford to wait to liquidate as time goes on. Even if prices stop moving against the loser, his pain grows, because he thinks to himself, "The trade is not working. I can't wait anymore." The conflict of price action is also driven by pressure, buying and selling.
The order flow comes in natural imbalance, and this imbalance becomes the price action. Knowing where the loser is in the order flow is all that you need to concern yourself with when you trade: "Where is the loser and when will he quit?" What does this mean? Well, you start the process of understanding where the loser is and when he will quit by first understanding what prevents you from seeing where the loser is.
This is difficult for many traders because they fail to realize that as a novice, they are the loser at this point. In many ways, your thinking is the same as every other loser out there. Knowing how you think gives you clues to how they think. You can then learn to separate yourself from the herd. Of course, to know how you think, you must first become aware of your biases as it relates to the charts and the news.
Extended rallies or sell-offs hold an inordinate amount of bias as the novice becomes excited by the real estate being covered in the price action. He becomes seduced by the belief that prices are going to continue and often, impulsively executes in the direction of the rally or sell-off. Actually, the seasoned, successful trader is looking to take the opposite side of that novice trade when markets are extended and there is a distinct imbalance between supply and demand. You not only need to become aware of your beliefs about the price movement, you also must learn how to look at the charts to identify areas where the imbalance is greatest because that's where the lure of false buy or sell signals are.
The market is only a neutral organic representation of the price action; the pain is not created by, nor is it in, the market. It is only in the head of the trader. Therefore, you are the market. There are those who would like to think that the market is "against them," and that it is somehow a fight, but the fight is really with yourself. And, the fight with yourself is caused by another conflict, the conflict inside the trader in the form of limiting beliefs that drive unconscious conversations regarding internal bias about price action. These biases and limiting beliefs are about "good" news versus "bad" news, the need to conform to the masses and the belief that indicators have real time data. These biases and limiting beliefs distort your judgement and distract your thinking.

Making Profit in Forex Trading:

Making Profit is the most important things while doing any-kind of Business.Being profitable in Forex requires a lot of work, dedication, practice, more than a good discipline, sharp knowledge of money management and understanding of the psychology of the currency market. Not so little and therefore not so easyEvery sucessful traders are a constant learner you also should follow it.You can Follow some of the following steps:
1)Trading is not a gambling by guessing where the price will move, although there are many traders (mostly beginners) that are exactly gambling... Trading currencies on the Forex market requires logical and analytical calculations based either on fundamental or technical analysis of price moves.
2)Making money starts with a plan to make money. Such plan is of enormous importance when it comes to trading foreign currencies. But, besides creating a plan, a trader needs constantly follow it. How often trader brake his rules will affect how much money he will make trading Forex.

Want to Make Money In Forex

How To make money in Forex:

Now this topic is interesting to everyone as this world is going for business.Anyhow people want to make money and now this post is here for some interesting idea.
As you might already know, forex is an acronym for foreign exchange is the international currency market where money is being sold and bought. Forex certainly is a new and exciting way to make money in the huge global currency market.
Making money in forex is very similar to stocks, options, or futures. You will be provided with a list of currency pairs each is coming along with graphs which you can select and trade. You can sell (or short) if you expect the graph to go down and you can buy (long) if you expect the graph to go up.

When you buy a currency in the forex market, you are actually doing two trades. You are selling one currency and buying the other. You have known what currency you are betting for/against, as opposed to the stock market where you only need to know one stock.
Unlike stock trading, most online forex firms don't charge commission. They make money by giving you a worse spread then they get and by charging you interest on margin. This spread is usually two or three pips (explained below).
Margins are huge in currency trading; you can easily be accepted for 200 to margin on-line. Some forex firms will give you up to 400:1 margin. To be honest, there is very little regulation in this industry, which means you can move $2,000,000 worth of currency with only $10,000 in your account. You can even open an account with as little as $300.
Profits in forex are measured in "pips" or "points." A pip is 1/1000 of dollar. For example if you buy the dollar (USD) against the euro (EUR), and it went in your direction from $1.300 to $1.299, you have made a 1 pip profit. On a $10k order at full margin (200:1), this is equivalent to $50 in profit.

Dollar Up Vs Yen

Dollar Up Vs Yen, May Fall Later This Week On US Data:

The dollar rose against the yen in Asia Monday as long-term investors bought the currency on its lows due to speculation that the U.S. Federal Reserve will hike its key interest rates next year while the Bank of Japan stays put. "There are constant bids below the psychologically important mark of Y90 from long-term-investors who manage assets over a period of more than two years," said Tsuyoshi Ueda, a senior manager at Gaitame.com, an online brokerage for individual Japanese investors. Still, Monday's trading does not suggest the greenback will keep rising, and dealers said it could even fall sharply later this week. That's because short-term investors--who were on the sidelines in Asia Monday due to a lack of fresh cues--are focusing more on U.S. economic data than the timing of the two central banks' next policy moves. If U.S. data due this week miss forecasts, U.S. Treasury yields and share prices could fall further, which will likely hurt the greenback, dealers said.
U.S. data due later Monday include personal spending figures for May. A Dow Jones poll of economists forecasts spending may rise 0.2% in May from the previous month, when spending was flat.
Markets are also waiting for key U.S. non-farm payrolls data for June on Friday.
Some dealers also noted that the outcome of a summit of Group of 20 industrialized and developing nations over the weekend could weigh on the U.S. currency against its Japanese counterpart if U.S. data keep logging weak readings. The G-20 nations pledged to halve their deficits by 2013 and ensure their debt loads start to decline three years after that, but Japan was an exception to this commitment due to its huge fiscal burden.
Governments' efforts to improve their fiscal conditions mean they won't be able to spend as much for any stimulus measures down the road, said Shinkin Asset Management senior manager Jun Kato. "If the U.S. economy weakens but authorities have limited fiscal power to prop up the economy, that's clearly negative for the dollar," he said.
The dollar was at Y89.44, higher than Y89.26 New York last week. The ICE U.S. Dollar Index, which tracks the greenback against a trade-weighted basket of currencies, was at 85.328 from late Friday's 85.270.
The euro, meanwhile, was at $1.2383 and Y110.76 from $1.2388 and Y110.56 in New York Friday. The single currency was higher due to Japanese importers' buying, dealers said, noting that the euro's outlook depends on share price moves

Basic Knowledge of Forex:

FOREX:
Firstly, it is enormous financial instrument allowing profit-making even in small currency fluctuations on the foreign exchange market. The scope of FOREX itself is very huge. Every day volume of the trading is more than $5 billion dollars. Any commodity market, futures market and stock exchange have no equal FOREX.

Secondly, it is the most powerful world system which does not have single centre. Trading operations do not stop any minute from Monday through Friday. There are daily exchange purchases of different currencies, such as British pound (GBP), euro (EUR), US dollar (USD), yen (JPY), franc (CHF), Canadian dollar (CAD), Australian dollar (AUD), etc. Different banks, market-makers, brokerages, independent brokers (such as EXNESS), investors, traders buy and sell currencies on FOREX.

The purpose of the trading on FOREX as well as other market is to buy goods cheap and sell goods at or better. Goods on the foreign exchange markets are exchange rates of different countries and each currency carries a price. Banks carry out FX transactions for settlements between counterparts from different countries for interstate payments, speculative operations, etc. Depending on different trading, economic and other indicators, interest rates, bank operations, time of day, preferences and expectations of traders, quotes are in ceaseless movement.
The goal of a trader is to determine currency direction and buy the currency which rises and sell the currency which falls in price and then make profits executing reverse transaction.
FOREX was unavailable for ordinary people formerly as in order to get access to it people needed to have large sums (about $1 million). However, owing to the development of Internet and brokers, at present almost every person can become trader. EXNESS brokerage grants access to execution of the trading on FOREX to every trader in the world regardless of his/her professional level and volume of depth

Types of Forex Trading:

There are two types of forex Trading-Fundamental and Technicals.

Technical trading is all about reading forex charts, using moving averages, tools and indicators to such as fibonacci studies and trendline analysis to find high probability trades. There are some very good ways to make money in forex technical trading. This section describes the other side of forex trading called Forex News Trading. This is where your odds of making good, profitable trades increase enormously.

Trading the news, is one of the best ways I know of making larges sums of money in very little time with very little risk. Financial news announcements get released every week. Some of these news announcement can and do move the market if there is a surprise in the announcement. For example, if a country is expected to raise it’s interest rate by a quarter of a point (0.25), the market prices this “expectation” into the price of it’s currency. When the announcement comes and the country decides to hold rates steady or raise them even more, e.g by half of a percent (0.50), this will absolutely move the currency. These are the kind of opportunities forex news traders look for and profit from.

Most news traders break even unless they have an edge. The edge we need is called "spike trading" and it's the only way to be consistantly profitable trading the news. Spike trading is a term used for playing the initial spike in price when a news event is released. This is where the money is made and the way to do this is with tools that get us into a spike trade immediately upon a news release. The only tool I know of, and have used used for amost 2 years, is called the Secret News Weapon (SNW) and it gets me into 80% of my spike trades. Sometimes prices moves too far, too fast so no matter what tool you use, you will not get into a spike trade. But the news spike trades we do get in to, hold your hat, because you can make a lot of money within 10-15 seconds after a news release. Nothing beats news trading with the SNW for super quick and profitable trades.

News trading can also be challenging. In our previous example we said if a country raises it’s rates more than expected, we would expect it’s currency rate to increase. That could be so, but timing is also very important. If the interest rate announcement is accompanied by a statement from that countries Fed of Board that indicates something like this could be the last interest rate hike for a while, this could have a negative effect on the currency. So instead of skyrocketing up, price stalls, flounders a bit and start crashing in the opposite direction. You would initially be on the right side of the trade, with a very nice profit and before you know it, price goes the other direction, stops you out and you lose money of the trade. This can and does happen.

A news of forex From Europe:

British Pound Loses Ground As BoE Holds Cautious Outlook, Euro Advances as 1Q GDP Tops Forecast:
The British Pound pared the overnight rally as Bank of England Governor maintained a dovish bias while delivering the central bank’s quarterly inflation report, and the currently may hold a narrow range going into the North American trade as investors weigh the prospects for future policy. At the same time, BoE Deputy Governor Charles Bean said that he remains surprised by the stickiness in prices as inflation exceeds the central banks upper limit for the second time this year, and went onto say that recent price developments have certainly exceeded the MPC’s expectations while growth remains roughly in line with their forecast.

Governor King held a cautious outlook for the U.K. and said that the downside risks for growth have “increased somewhat” and stressed that it is “imperative” for the government to lower the budget deficit sooner rather than later, but went onto say that inflation is likely to remain above target throughout 2010 as the BoE sees price growth averaging 1.4% over the next two-years. In addition, the central bank head stated that the global economy is “only part way through the financial crisis” as governments around the world struggle to manage their public finances, but expects the recovery “to gather strength” going forward as the expansion in monetary and fiscal policy continues to feed through the real economy. At the same time, Mr. King reiterated that the MPC maintains the option to expand its emergency measures and have not ruled out increasing its asset purchases beyond the GBP 200B target, and noted that the central bank can raise borrowing costs or start selling assets when it’s ready to tighten monetary policy. Meanwhile, jobless claims in the U.K. tumbled 27.1K in April following a 32.7K contraction in the previous month, which unexpectedly pushed the claimant count rate down to 4.7% from 4.8% in the previous month, while the ILO’s gauge for unemployment held at 8.0% during the three-months through March to mark the highest reading since 1994.

The Euro halted the two-day decline and rallied to a high of 1.2737 as the economic docket reinforced an improved outlook for the region however, the overnight advance appears to be tapering off as investors scale back their appetite for risk. Meanwhile, the European Commission said that Estonia is on track to join the fixed-change rate system in 2011 even as the ECB warns that the Baltic state may struggle to prevent “high rates of inflation,” which could lead to a buildup in macroeconomic imbalances, and said that the nation’s efforts to lowering price growth is “sustainable” during a press release in Brussels. Nevertheless, economic activity in the Euro-Zone expanded 0.2% in the first-quarter to exceed expectations for a 0.1% rise, while GDP in Germany unexpectedly grew during the first three-months of 2010 after holding flat in the fourth-quarter, led by a rise in exports and capital investments. In addition, industrial outputs in the euro-region jumped 1.3% in March, which topped projections for a 1.0% rise, while production increased 6.9% from the previous year to mark the fastest pace of growth since May 2000.

The was greenback was modestly lower during the overnight trade following the rise in risk appetite, with the USD/JPY paring the previous day’s decline to reach a high of 93.05, but risk sentiment appears to be turning over ahead of the North American session, which could stoke a rise in safe haven flows. Nevertheless, the economic docket is expected to show the trade deficit for the world’s largest economy widen to $40.5B in March from $39.7B in the previous month, which would be the highest reading since December 2008, while the budget statement is expected to show a shortfall of $56.0B in April as the government continues to support the real economy.

An Exciting News From Forex:

Dollar Soars As Greek Woes Fuel Flight To Safety :

The U.S. dollar soared to a one-year high against the euro Tuesday, fueled by a flight to safety as concern over the euro zone's debt crisis led to broad sales of riskier assets. Oil prices and U.S. stocks were sharply lower and the dollar and U.S. Treasurys rallied strongly as investors worried that the unprecedented EUR110 billion aid package to Greece will neither restore solvency for the debt-laden country nor prevent contagion to other euro-zone nations. The common currency tumbled 1.2% on the day.
Hopes of further recovery in the U.S. economy also lifted the greenback against its rivals, with a widely watched dollar index hitting a 12-month peak. Strong U.S. economic data have reinforced expectations that the Federal Reserve will be able to raise interest rates faster than its counterparts in the European Union and Japan. The U.S. dollar was "winning against everything except the yen," said Andrew Wilkinson, senior market analyst at Interactive Brokers in Greenwich. The greenback was unchanged against the yen, also a traditional haven currency.
The greenback struck a five-week high against the U.K. pound, on fears that Thursday's general election won't have an outright winner. Investors worry that a hung parliament would be unable to reverse the country's growing deficit, imperiling the U.K.'s sovereign credit rating. The euro was at $1.3043 down from $1.3191 late Monday, according to EBS via CQG. Earlier in New York, it had fallen to 1.3021, it's lowest point since May 2009. Analysts said a plunge below $1.30 would open the door for more extensive losses, perhaps down to $1.25.

The dollar was at Y94.58, from Y94.59, while the euro was at Y123.26 from Y124.80. The dollar was at CHF1.0993, up from CHF1.0861. Sterling dipped to $1.5091 before recovering some losses to trade at $1.5122 around midday Tuesday, from $1.5249 late Monday. The ICE Dollar Index, which tracks the greenback against a trade-weighted basket of currencies, was at 83.141, down slightly from an earlier 12-month peak at 83.263 but up from 82.370.

"People are becoming well aware of the fact that the solvency issue for Greece hasn't been resolved with the aid package," said Adarsh Sinha, foreign exchange analyst at Barclays Capital in London. "They still have to repay the money. They still have to repay the interest." There are also renewed doubts about the Greek government's ability to carry out harsh austerity measures required by the bailout package from the European Union and the International Monetary Fund.
In Athens Tuesday, Greek civil servants and teachers walked off the job, launching a 48-hour strike to protest the measures. The walkout comes one day before a planned nationwide general strike that is expected to paralyze the country. "Even the tax collectors are going on strike, which will presumably make it even harder to collect those higher taxes," said Jacob Oubina, currency strategist at Forex.com in Bedminster, N.J.
The euro's sharp decline Tuesday comes after London markets reopened following a holiday Monday. Tokyo markets remain closed through Wednesday for Golden Week. In other currencies, the Australian dollar was one of the worst performers on the day, slipping nearly 1.6% against the dollar despite the central bank's decision to hike interest rates there by 25 basis points. The currency was at $0.9115, from $0.9263 late Monday. The Canadian dollar was also pushed lower by risk aversion and softening oil prices, with the greenback ticking up more than one full cent to C$1.0223 from C$1.0111 late Monday.
Beijing's decision over the weekend to further raise reserve requirements for banks to help cool China's robust property market has hurt the currencies of commodity-based economies like Australia and Canada, analysts said. A slowdown in Chinese growth is likely to reduce demand for the products these countries export.
Although investors focused on ramifications of the euro-zone debt crisis, U.S. data lent some support to the greenback. New orders for manufactured goods jumped 1.3% in March to $391.5 billion, the Commerce Department said Tuesday. Wall Street had been expecting orders to slide by 0.1%. U.S. pending home sales rose slightly more than expected in March, by 5.3%, rather than the 5.0% predicted

Understanding Market psychology:

   Market psychology

Market psychology and trader perceptions influence the foreign exchange market in a variety of ways:

1)Flights to quality: Unsettling international events can lead to a "flight to quality," with investors seeking a "safe haven." There will be a greater demand, thus a higher price, for currencies perceived as stronger over their relatively weaker counterparts. The U.S. dollar, Swiss franc and gold have been traditional safe havens during times of political or economic uncertainty.

2)Long-term trends: Currency markets often move in visible long-term trends. Although currencies do not have an annual growing season like physical commodities, business cycles do make themselves felt. Cycle analysis looks at longer-term price trends that may rise from economic or political trends.

3)"Buy the rumor, sell the fact": This market truism can apply to many currency situations. It is the tendency for the price of a currency to reflect the impact of a particular action before it occurs and, when the anticipated event comes to pass, react in exactly the opposite direction. This may also be referred to as a market being "oversold" or "overbought".To buy the rumor or sell the fact can also be an example of the cognitive bias known as anchoring, when investors focus too much on the relevance of outside events to currency prices.

4)Economic numbers: While economic numbers can certainly reflect economic policy, some reports and numbers take on a talisman-like effect: the number itself becomes important to market psychology and may have an immediate impact on short-term market moves. "What to watch" can change over time. In recent years, for example, money supply, employment, trade balance figures and inflation numbers have all taken turns in the spotlight.

5)Technical trading considerations: As in other markets, the accumulated price movements in a currency pair such as EUR/USD can form apparent patterns that traders may attempt to use. Many traders study price charts in order to identify such patterns.

Market partipation in forex

Forex Market is day by day increasing. Unlike a stock market, the foreign exchange market is divided into levels of access. At the top is the inter-bank market, which is made up of the largest commercial banks and security dealers.Within the inter-bank market, spreads, which are the difference between the bid and ask prices, are razor sharp and usually unavailable, and not known to players outside the inner circle. The difference between the bid and ask prices widens .This is due to volume. If a trader can guarantee large numbers of transactions for large amounts, they can demand a smaller difference between the bid and ask price, which is referred to as a better spread. The levels of access that make up the foreign exchange market are determined by the size of the "line" (the amount of money with which they are trading). The top-tier inter-bank market accounts for 53% of all transactions. After that there are usually smaller banks, followed by large multi-national corporations (which need to hedge risk and pay employees in different countries), large hedge funds, and even some of the retail FX-metal market makers. According to Galati and Melvin, “Pension funds, insurance companies, mutual funds, and other institutional investors have played an increasingly important role in financial markets in general, and in FX markets in particular, since the early 2000s.” (2004) In addition, he notes, “Hedge funds have grown markedly over the 2001–2004 period in terms of both number and overall size” Central banks also participate in the foreign exchange market to align currencies to their economic needs. The main Market participants are:
1)Banks
2)Commercial companies
3)Central Banks
4)Investment Management firms
5)Retail Foreign Exchange Broker
6)Non-Bank Foreign exchange Companies
7)Remitance Company

Foreign exhange trading increasing day by day-

Forex is one of the biggest market now. There are many reasons for the popularity of foreign exchange trading, but among the most important are the leverage available, the high liquidity 24 hours a day and the very low dealing costs associated with trading.
Of course many commercial organisations participate purely due to the currency exposures created by their import and export activities, but the main part of the turnover is accounted for by financial institutions. Investing in foreign exchange remains predominantly the domain of the big professional players in the market - funds, banks and brokers. Nevertheless, any investor with the necessary knowledge of the market's functions can benefit from the advantages stated above. One interesting idea about forex trading is-

Margin Trading

Foreign exchange is normally traded on margin. A relatively small deposit can control much larger positions in the market. For trading the main currencies, Saxo Bank requires a 1% margin deposit. This means that in order to trade one million dollars, you need to place just USD 10,000 by way of security.
In other words, you will have obtained a gearing of up to 100 times. This means that a change of, say 2%, in the underlying value of your trade will result in a 200% profit or loss on your deposit. See below for specific examples. As you can see, this calls for a very disciplined approach to trading as both profit opportunities and potential risks are very large indeed. Trading forex -

Forex Trading:
A currency trade is the simultaneous buying of one currency and selling of another one. The currency combination used in the trade is called a cross (for example, the euro/US dollar, or the GB pound/Japanese yen.). The most commonly traded currencies are the so-called “majors” – EURUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF and GBPUSD.
The most important Forex market is the spot market as it has the largest volume. The market is called the spot market because trades are settled immediately, or “on the spot”. In practice this means two banking days.
Important stategies for forex:
  • Spread

The spread is the difference between the price that you can sell currency at (Bid) and the price you can buy currency at (Ask). The spread on majors is usually 3 pips under normal market conditions. For more information on the trading conditions at Saxo Bank, go to the Account Summary on your Client Station and open the section entitled “Trading Conditions” found in the top right-hand corner of the Account Summary.
  • Pips

A pip is the smallest unit by which a cross price quote changes. When trading Forex you will often hear that there is a 3-pip spread when you trade the majors. This spread is revealed when you compare the bid and the ask price, for example EURUSD is quoted at a bid price of 0.9875 and an ask price of 0.9878. The difference is USD 0.0003, which is equal to 3 “pips”.

On a contract or position, the value of a pip can easily be calculated. You know that the EURUSD is quoted with four decimals, so all you have to do is cancel out the four zeros on the amount you trade and you will have the value of one pip. Thus, on a EURUSD 100,000 contract, one pip is USD 10. On a USDJPY 100,000 contract, one pip is equal to 1000 yen, because USDJPY is quoted with only two decimals.

Market size and liquidity

Main foreign exchange market turnover, 1988–2007, measured in billions of USD.
The foreign exchange market is the largest and most liquid financial market in the world. Traders include large banks, central banks, currency speculators, corporations, governments, and other financial institutions.
The average daily volume in the global foreign exchange and related markets is continuously growing. Daily turnover was reported to be over US$3.2 trillion in April 2007 by the Bank for International Settlements.Since then, the market has continued to grow. According to Euromoney's annual FX Poll, volumes grew a further 41% between 2007 and 2008.
Of the $3.98 trillion daily global turnover, trading in London accounted for around $1.36 trillion, or 34.1% of the total, making London by far the global center for foreign exchange. In second and third places respectively, trading in New York accounted for 16.6%, and Tokyo accounted for 6.0%. In addition to "traditional" turnover, $2.1 trillion was traded in derivatives.
Exchange-traded FX futures contracts were introduced in 1972 at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and are actively traded relative to most other futures contracts.
Several other developed countries also permit the trading of FX derivative products (like currency futures and options on currency futures) on their exchanges. All these developed countries already have fully convertible capital accounts. Most emerging countries do not permit FX derivative products on their exchanges in view of prevalent controls on the capital accounts. However, a few select emerging countries (e.g., Korea, South Africa, India) have already successfully experimented with the currency futures exchanges, despite having some controls on the capital account.
FX futures volume has grown rapidly in recent years, and accounts for about 7% of the total foreign exchange market volume, according to The Wall Street Journal Europe.

Forex Scam

A forex (or foreign exchange) scam is any trading scheme used to defraud traders by convincing them that they can expect to gain a high profit by trading in the foreign exchange market. Currency trading "has become the fraud du jour" as of early 2008, according to Michael Dunn of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. But "the market has long been plagued by swindlers preying on the gullible," according to the New York Times. "The average individual foreign-exchange-trading victim loses about $15,000, according to CFTC records" according to The Wall Street Journal. The North American Securities Administrators Association says that "off-exchange forex trading by retail investors is at best extremely risky, and at worst, outright fraud."
"In a typical case, investors may be promised tens of thousands of dollars in profits in just a few weeks or months, with an initial investment of only $5,000. Often, the investor’s money is never actually placed in the market through a legitimate dealer, but simply diverted – stolen – for the personal benefit of the con artists."
In August, 2008 the CFTC set up a special task force to deal with growing foreign exchange fraud.”In January 2010, the CFTC proposed new rules limiting leverage to 10 to 1, based on " a number of improper practices" in the retail foreign exchange market, "among them solicitation fraud, a lack of transparency in the pricing and execution of transactions, unresponsiveness to customer complaints, and the targeting of unsophisticated, elderly, low net worth and other vulnerable individuals."
The forex market is a zero-sum game, meaning that whatever one trader gains, another loses, except that brokerage commissions and other transaction costs are subtracted from the results of all traders, technically making forex a "negative-sum" game.
These scams might include churning of customer accounts for the purpose of generating commissions, selling software that is supposed to guide the customer to large profits, improperly managed "managed accounts",false advertising,Ponzi schemes and outright fraud. It also refers to any retail forex broker who indicates that trading foreign exchange is a low risk, high profit investment.
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which loosely regulates the foreign exchange market in the United States, has noted an increase in the amount of unscrupulous activity in the non-bank foreign exchange industry.
An official of the National Futures Association was quoted as saying, "Retail forex trading has increased dramatically over the past few years. Unfortunately, the amount of forex fraud has also increased dramatically."Between 2001 and 2006 the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has prosecuted more than 80 cases involving the defrauding of more than 23,000 customers who lost $350 million. From 2001 to 2007, about 26,000 people lost $460 million in forex frauds. CNN quoted Godfried De Vidts, President of the Financial Markets Association, a European body, as saying, "Banks have a duty to protect their customers and they should make sure customers understand what they are doing. Now if people go online, on non-bank portals, how is this control being done?"

Basics knowledge about Forex:

Forex:
An over-the-counter market where buyers and sellers conduct foreign exchange transactions. The Forex market is useful because it helps enable trade and transactions between countries, and it also allows an investment opportunity for risk seeking investors who don't mind engaging in speculation.
Individuals who trade in the Forex market typically look carefully at a country's economic and political situation, as these factors can influence the direction of its currency. One of the unique aspects of the Forex market is that the volume of trading is so high, partially because the units exchanged are so small. It is estimated that around $4 trillion goes through the Forex market each day. It is also called foreign exchange market

Forex:

The foreign exchange market can be referred as currency market which is a worldwide decentralized over-the-counter financial market for the trading of currencies. Financial centers around the world function as anchors of trading between a wide range of different types of buyers and sellers around the clock, with the exception of weekends.

The purpose of the foreign exchange market 'Forex' is to assist international trade and investment. The foreign exchange market allows businesses to convert one currency to another foreign currency. For example, it permits a U.S. business to import European goods and pay Euros, even though the business's income is in U.S. dollars. Some experts, however, believe that the unchecked speculative movement of currencies by large financial institutions such as hedge funds impedes the markets from correcting global current account imbalances. This carry trade may also lead to loss of competitiveness in some countries.

In a typical foreign exchange transaction a party purchases a quantity of one currency by paying a quantity of another currency. The modern foreign exchange market started forming during the 1970s when countries gradually switched to floating exchange rates from the previous exchange rate regime, which remained fixed as per the Bretton Woods system.
